Speechless was how The Bohoho Villa left me when I showed up on a warm Spring evening, sitting high on a hill in Solin overlooking the Croatian coastal town Split. I was overcome with how beautiful the view was, and how lucky I was to be spending the next week with 9 other creatives part of the #teamkaptainkennycollabcamp.
Where to stay?
This is a no-brainer - The Bohoho is the place to stay for a luxurious week away. It's located in Solin, about a 25 minute drive from the center of Split. I got to the villa via taxi with Book transfer Croatia, and I couldn't recommend them enough, especially as a solo traveller I'm not a huge fan of catching taxi's - but they were great. They agreed to have a sign with my name on it just to ensure I was getting the right taxi when I arrived, picked me up on time, and waited for me to make sure I was at the right location.
The Bohoho is the perfect little getaway, especially if you're going away with a group of friends. The Villa is unlike any other I've ever seen. The three story villa is bright, open and has patterns throughout, with each room having a different theme that complements each other quite well.
The house consists of an infinity pool overlooking Split (I mean we have to kick off with the highlight, right!?!), a kitchen and living area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, with one extra bathroom part of an ensuite. A rooftop with a sofabed and a table perfect for enjoying lunch on a warm day, and as duck approaches watch the lights in the city below turn on.

What to do in Split?
So with a villa that beautiful it's hard to leave, but on the days that you aren't hanging by the pool, relaxing with a good book on the roof top or cooking up a storm in the kitchen, take a taxi or drive down to the center and explore the beautiful city.
We did a walking tour of the Old Town and I would definitely recommend it, I was blown away by the history of Split, having been twice before I had never had the opportunity to learn about the city in more depth. As we were walking around the Old Town, we had the chance to listen to a group of male singers, singing traditional Croatian music, and for those who know me well, know how much I adore Croatian music, so that was a highlight for me! Our guide CJ was awesome, full of knowledge and he guided us up a hill to the most beautiful view of Split (I'll let the photos speak for themselves though).
Find a hidden paradise
This was one of the most amazing experiences throughout the trip. Think; catching a boat with the wind in your hair, swimming in crystal blue waters, and discovering islands hidden away from tourists. If this sounds like your cup of tea then you need to book the 'Hidden Paradise' tour with Absolut Charter. Our guide - Toni, was awesome, he took us to some of the most beautiful parts of Croatia, that you'd never think to go to. We jetted off at 9am and returned back in the evening around 5pm. We had beautiful weather and explored the Islands Trogir, Brac and Šolta. On our stops, Toni brought out a few beverages for us to enjoy while swimming in the crystal blue waters. I mean when you have company as good as I had with the Kaptin Kenny team, it was bound to be a cracker of a day!

Where to eat in Split?
Majority of the time in Split, we cooked up a storm in the kitchen and on the grill (Thanks Leo and Ian) of The Bohoho. However we did spend an evening enjoying a meal in the center of Split, at Trattoria Tinel after our walking tour. The restaurant was lovely, with bright flowers on the window sills as you enter the restaurant. The service was incredible, we had Pere looking after us and he was great! The food was fantastic, I had the Chicken with gorgonzola sauce, it's the type of meal you wish never ended. You know those meals where it's so good, and you dread the end of it?
So that ladies and gentlemen this is how you spend a luxurious week in Split, don't take my word for it, defintitely give it a go!
